PrestaShop → Shopify

Move from PrestaShop to Shopify.

PrestaShop is common in France, Spain and Italy. We move your catalog, customers, orders and languages to Shopify, replace modules, and redirect every URL so search traffic follows you.

Why stores move

What changes when you leave PrestaShop.

Fewer modules to babysit

Module updates and conflicts are replaced by a maintained platform and reviewed apps.

Multi-language, simpler

Published languages each get their own URLs on Shopify, and checkout and emails follow the customer's language.

Hosted checkout

Checkout speed, security and payment methods are handled by Shopify.

What moves over

Your data comes with you.

Shopify's own guidance is to import products first, then customers, then historical orders. We follow it and check the result.

Products

Titles, descriptions, images, variants, prices, stock and SEO fields.

Customers

Names, emails, addresses and marketing consent. Passwords can't be moved, so customers sign in again.

Order history

Past orders, imported after products and customers so they link to the right records.

Content

Blog posts, pages, gift cards and store credit where the old platform exports them.

URLs and SEO

A 301 redirect for every old product, category and page URL, plus titles and meta descriptions.

Integrations

ERP, email, reviews and shipping tools reconnected or replaced.

Where PrestaShop migrations need care

The parts we plan before moving anything.

Combinations

PrestaShop combinations become Shopify variants. Large attribute sets are planned before import.

Languages

Translations move into Shopify's languages, managed with the Translate & Adapt app, CSV files or a translation app.

Modules

Each active module is mapped to a built-in feature, an app or custom code.

URLs with IDs

PrestaShop URLs often include numeric IDs. Each one is redirected to the matching Shopify product, collection or page.

How a migration runs

Planned, rehearsed, then switched.

Your old store keeps selling until the moment we switch the domain.

01 / AUDIT

Map everything

Every product type, plugin, integration, URL and legal page on the old store, and what each becomes on Shopify.

02 / MOVE

Import and check

Products first, then customers, then order history, so records link up. Then a line-by-line check of the data.

03 / BUILD

Theme and features

Theme, checkout, payments, taxes, shipping and the apps or custom code that replace old plugins.

04 / LAUNCH

Redirect and switch

Redirects for every old URL, test orders, domain switch, sitemap submitted, and a watch on traffic after launch.

FAQ

PrestaShop migration questions.

Will we lose our Google rankings?

Rankings depend on many things, but the biggest avoidable risk is broken URLs. We redirect every old product, category and page URL to its new address before the domain switch, then submit the new sitemap and watch for errors after launch.

Can the old store keep selling during the migration?

Yes. We build and test on Shopify while the old store runs. Orders placed during the build are brought across in a final sync before the switch.

Can customer passwords be moved?

No. Passwords are stored in a form no platform can read or transfer. Customer accounts move over, and customers sign in again on Shopify.
